Forest School

At Moss to Canopy Forest School, children step into our very own forest area each week to learn, explore, and grow in the heart of nature. Our Forest School programme runs all year round, with children taking part in weekly sessions delivered in 6–8 week blocks every term. This consistent time outdoors helps children build confidence, deepen their connection to nature, and experience the woodland in every season.

Our forest area becomes an extension of the classroom—a place where curiosity is encouraged, imaginations flourish, and children develop independence through hands-on exploration. From building dens and discovering wildlife to using natural materials for craftwork and learning how to care for the environment, each session is designed to nurture resilience, teamwork, and creativity.

Led by qualified Forest School practitioners Frankie and Charlotte, we provide a safe, supportive environment where children are encouraged to take appropriate risks, follow their interests, and grow at their own pace. With the woodland as their teacher, every week offers new challenges, new discoveries, and new opportunities for learning.
